Introducing today one of my most common “motifs”: the 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒑𝒔.
Anyone who spends a considerable amount of time with me knows that I spend my life doodling these on any surface I will find.
I started doing these when I was around 13, almost as a dissasociating action whenever I would feel stressed, bored, etc. It was my healthy way of coping whenever I would feel anxious and hopeless. I have notebooks full of these and you might find them anywhere in my diary, school textbooks, music scores, etc
Slowly, they evolved to have different nuances and be more or less complicated. If you follow me, you will see lots of these!
Each 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒑 is drawn fully intentionally, with a specific shape, which can be interpreted separately or together with the rest of 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒑𝒔 around it – often times they remind me of flames or ancient birds, but I will let you make up your mind and tell me what you see!!
This might seem like a little insignificant thing, just like a little bird’s 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒑, but for me it has come to mean a source of support helping with life’s adversities.
